  • What is the best season to come to Martinique?

    There are only two seasons in Martinique. The dry season called 'carême' which extends from December to mid-June and the wet season called 'wintering' from mid-June to November with more rainy periods. However, the sun is present throughout the year.

  • How many times difference do we have with Martinique?

    Public transport in Martinique is underdeveloped compared to large cities. Some bus, taxi and sea shuttle companies serve different places near the hotel.

  • Do I have to rent a car?

    It is strongly recommended to rent a car during your stay if you want to explore the island at your own pace. Note that day trippers can also pick you up directly at the hotel and that taxis will be happy to take you around.

  • What are the most important events in Martinique?

    The island has a rich culture. The most popular events are:

    • Christmas with the 'chanté nwel' and the culinary specialties of the season.
    • The Carnival (February/March) with the parades, “vidés”, “groups à pieds” and the emblematic carnival characters.
    • Easter (April) with the mythical crab fishing, matoutou and days at the beach.

    Other major events such as the Tour Cycliste de Martinique in July, the famous Tour des Yoles Rondes de Martinique (nautical race) in late July/early August and different popular festivals make it a dynamic destination.

  • What are the check-in times?

    We are happy to welcome you from 4 p.m., every day.

    In case of early arrival, please inform us. Exceptionally, you will be able to access the hotel. However, your room will only be assigned to you when it is ready.

  • A security deposit will be welcomed?

    A credit card imprint will be required when you check in. The card must be in the name of a person present in the room.

  • Until what time can I be accommodated?

    Our receptionists are at your disposal 24 hours a day.
    In case of late arrival, please notify the establishment as soon as possible.
    For customers benefiting from the half-board formula, alternatives may be offered.

  • Could I open an account to put my drinks there during my stay?

    An account linked to your room will be automatically opened allowing you to pay for your consumption on the day of your departure.

  • Is it compulsory to wear the hotel bracelet?

    Yes, the bracelet given by the receptionist when you check in must be worn and visible throughout your stay. It allows us to offer you the services relating to your stay and to ensure your safety.

Policies

  • What happens to my booking if my stay is cancelled?

    It will depend on the option chosen when booking.

    Option 1: no refund will be made, you can change your dates of stay within 48 hours before your initial arrival date. Additional costs may be requested for a report.
    Option 2: the 30% deposit will be returned to you for any cancellation within more than 48 hours before arrival.
    Beyond 48 hours we will not make a refund regardless of the amount incurred.
    In case of no-show the deposit will not be refunded and the balance of the stay is charged.
    We advise you to take out our cancellation insurance when booking.

  • Do you propose cancellation insurance?

    By booking online in our website, we offer you the possibility of adding Mutuaide cancellation insurance. Its SAFEBOOKING Serenity Pack, including COVID-19 guarantee, covers all participants in the reservation, without any family ties necessary in case of attack, natural disaster, pregnancy, dismissal, illness, vehicle breakdown accident, etc.

    The simplified sinister declaration is done online with a dedicated sinister manager who is accessible from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Count compensation in 72 hours after completing your file.

  • Is Hotel Bambou accessible to people disabled?

    Yes, our Tourisme et Handicap label allows us to receive people with specific needs.

  • Can I receive visitors during my stay?

    Anyone from outside the hotel must be reported to reception. Please note that access to the swimming pool is strictly prohibited.

  • How many pools does the hotel have?

    Our establishment has two swimming pools, including one which is reserved exclusively for Culture Creole guests.

  • What are the swimming pool hours?

    The main pool is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Is the swimming pool secure and supervised?

    Access to the pool is by electric gates only using your room card. Given that the swimming pool is prohibited for unaccompanied minors, we strongly recommend to do not give your room card to a child.

    No supervision is provided. We therefore invite you to remain vigilant.

  • Can I use beach equipment?

    Our beach is equipped with deck chairs and parasols. Our beach attendants present every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be happy to install them for you. These facilities are included in your stay.

  • How can I have access to the hammam and the jacuzzi?

    To book your access, you have to go directly to the Tropical Spa or contact the spa team at 3050 from your room. This service is an extra.

  • Does the hotel have a gym?

    Two private cabins are dedicated to fitness and yoga practice, meditation and soft gym by virtual classes. Please contact the Tropical Spa to reserve. This service is an extra.

    You can also practice running on the beach or even meditation at sunrise.

  • I forgot my swimsuit, what should I do?

    Head to the official shop of the hote, Bungalow Shop to find the perfect beach or pool outfit.

  • Can I have access to the facilities if I am not staying at the Hotel Bambou?

    The hammam and the jacuzzi are accessible to external guests. The swimming pool will only be accessible if a Day Pass has been purchased. Beach equipment can be reserved at the cabane de plage. All these services are chargeable.
