The holidays are well and truly here! The opportunity to make the most of it by taking outings to the 4 corners of the island.

It must be said that in Martinique, we love to party, and all means are good to gather and celebrate.

Martinique is therefore lively during all the summer holidays, with events for all tastes. Garden parties, concerts, sporting events, pool parties, festivals, Friday nights and parties of all kinds.

Discover the highlights of the months of July and August in Martinique and let yourself be carried away by a festive and colorful atmosphere!

The International Cycling Tour of Martinique

The 42nd edition of the international sports competition will take place from July 8 to 16, 2023.

Each year, more than 20 teams from Europe, the Caribbean and Switzerland come together to cross Martinique by road.
On the program, the peloton will travel through 13 towns on the island in 9 stages.
The tour is known for its time trials and winding, steep roads. The suspense is generally at its peak throughout the duration of the race.

Cycling is one of the favorite sports of Martinicans and the Tour de Martinique is widely followed, on the spot along the roads to encourage the runners, but also on the radio and on television.

The passage of the caravan before the race (cars marked by sponsors, announcing the arrival of the first runners) is the favorite moment of many! Because many goodies from sponsors are distributed free of charge.
In the finish city, each end of the race brings the crowds together to celebrate together. Artists and personalities are invited, many games are organized. An event not to be missed!

Idea: Do one of the stages of the International Cycling Tour of Martinique on a motorcycle to be as close as possible to the race.

Ladies Break Festival

As its name suggests, this festival placed under the sign of femininity is this year in its 2nd edition.
However, the Ladies Break events already have 15 editions on their counter and are certainly the unmissable women's events on the island.
The concept: to celebrate the woman of today through conferences, workshops and a huge life-size showroom to shop for the latest trends.
The Ladies Break Festival, which will take place at the Apaloosa'Arena at the François, is a summary of this with, in addition, a line-up of madness with international colors mixing musicality, talk-show and comedy.

This year, the festival will welcome renowned artists such as Konshens, Stony and Xman, Camille from “Je men bats de clito” or Les Coquettes, on its open-air stage. Many local DJs will also come to set the mood.
Next July 9 is therefore the meeting point for this start of the holidays not to be missed!

Friday Night atmospheres in Trois-Ilets

Every year, the city of Trois-Ilets, the city where the Hotel Bambou is located, celebrates its Friday evenings under the theme of Caribbean Friday Nights. A place, music and good food.

Access is free and allows young and old to come and enjoy local and international sounds with a preview of local musicians, singers and DJs. On the food side, we take the opportunity to taste the good traditional holiday dishes: skewers of conch or grilled kidneys, bokit, fries-sausages, lapo sinyin soup…
The seafront of Trois-Ilets where Friday night takes place offers an ideal space for families with games for children, a running track, tennis courts, football and basketball.

If you are lucky, you may be the lucky winners of the prizes offered by the Hotel Bambou during the intermission games.

The Tour of the Round Yoles of Martinique

A mythical sailing boat race that has never been seen before in Martinique, the Tour des Yoles rondes brings together all ages and all the inhabitants of the island. This event is one of the most popular for the people of Martinique, there is no question of missing this event.

For a week, from July 30 to August 6, 2023, a dozen boats sponsored by local companies will set off from town to coastal town to make a complete tour of Martinique. The Martinican population follows this event closely, everyone supports their favorite skiff and even goes so far as to dress in the colors of this one.

This canoe, found only in Martinique, is made entirely of wood. It is composed of a sail that allows it to move forward thanks to the wind, a large paddle at the back to steer and the famous bwa erected on either side of the boat to allow a perfect balance. The Tour des Yoles is experienced both on land and at sea, it's an atmosphere to experience at least once!

Idea: do one or more stages of the Tour des Yoles Rondes in a catamaran or, for the more athletic, in a jet ski.

Baccha Festival

Organized by an association of young Martinicans on the beach of Pointe Faula in Vauclin, the Baccha Festival is the most important festival of the year.
For 2 days, from August 12 to 13, 2023, festival-goers will enjoy the latest hits from all over the world. From zouk to rap, rnb, reggae, afrobeat and dancehall, renowned artists occupy the different stages of the festival day and night.

This year, the festival will highlight the rapper SDM from Paris, the queen of "back it up" Shenseea from Jamaica or the talented Young Chang MC from Guadeloupe. Not to mention the panoply of DJs ready to shake the crowds.
Quality Head liners that attract more and more visitors from the Caribbean and Europe ready to fully experience this major event.
In addition to the musical atmosphere, men and women make a point of honor on their outfits as sexy, chic, original as colorful and sequined. It's a real festival of colors for the eyes!

The Baccha Festival is also part of an eco-responsible approach that we strongly encourage with significant actions such as: raising awareness of carpooling, the use of eco-responsible packaging and furniture, drinking water fountains in free access, sorting and waste management, without forgetting the cleaning of beaches and peripheral areas.

For two good months, Martinique lives to the rhythm of the festivities. All means are good for partying with friends, family, outdoors.
Outdoor events are enjoyed by all, so join us!

Don't forget the one who drives is the one who doesn't drink, enjoy healthy!
